Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is the focal point of our community. Parents are involved, students are eager to learn, and the staff loves coming to work each day. Our school is located in the heart of Richmondtown. It welcomes students from New Dorp, Oakwood, Richmondtown and Lighthouse Hill. We are an ICT classroom, which means 2 teachers (one general education and one special education) in this classroom. We have both taught 5th grade for many years and really know the expectations of our students when they get to middle school.

My Project

The children will have unlimited access to the HP X7T64UA 11.6" Chromebooks. We will be able to take a small group into the hall and work on our google projects together. My Co Teacher and I will use the HP 14-ck0066st 14" Laptop to conduct the lesson.

We recently used google meet to host a lesson with our students.

Having unlimited access to the technology in our classroom will allow us to work with small groups showing them videos or interactive lessons. We love infusing technology into our lessons, but sometimes other classes are using the laptops. We would love to have our own at our fingertips!
