Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students come from a diverse background in all aspects of race, culture, and religion. The students come from a neighborhood where financial, social- emotional, and physical support is scarce. Our students thrive to be the best they can be. However, it is difficult when you are limited to funds and resources, yet we want the best for them. Our students need guidance and support.

Our ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching) classrooms is full of students that are extraordinary individuals.

Each student comes into the classroom with a variety of skills, abilities, and prior knowledge levels. We work hard to create an environment that allows for those skills to grow through differentiated teaching. We love to watch the growth that we see daily in each student and celebrate those achievements!

My Project

New York City has been extremely cold this winter thus far. This week temperature dropped to 15 degrees. We want all of our students to stay warm and healthy during this season. Our students also need to stay safe during COVID. We are asking for hats, gloves and scarves to provide each one of our students to ensure they are warm when they are coming to school. The hats can protect their heads for thinking, scarfs will protect their throat so they can talk and sing at school and gloves will protect their hands for writing,
