My Students
We are a Title 1 school with most students coming from poverty and/or refugee families. Over 20% of our scholars come from all over the world through the work of the International Rescue Committee's Refugee Resettlement Program. We also have a large percentage of special needs students.
Our refugee families come from regions MUCH closer to the equator, so these will be their first hats and mittens.
Running out to "catch" first snow flakes will be so much more comfortable and safe with your generous donation.
My Project
Our Title I school has many students who are living in poverty and/or are refugees. Over 20% of our students are refugees coming from warm climates, so this will be their first ever winter hat and gloves!
We received a very generous donation of winter coats and feel so happy about that, but my students need warm heads and hands, too!
