My Students

My students are resilient. In the face of so much adversity, they have soared and shown me what true perseverance looks like. I am blessed to teach my precious 2nd graders. Our area is very high in poverty, and we are a Title 1 school that has a lot of diversity across our student body. Some students do not go home to a safe, happy, and organized space. I hope that my classroom will be their safe/ happy space for them while I have the honor of teaching and loving on them!

My Project

Students need gloves and hats! During this winter season, I have seen students come in with only sweaters and no items to keep them warm while being outside on their way to school, their walk home, or during recess. Gloves and hats are one of the necessities and some of the students and their families are not fortunate enough to have the means to buy them new ones; especially after being home for the majority of the winter season last year.

Students need gloves and hats to help them stay warm from the elements, and prevent the possibility of them being sick during the school year and consequently missing school.

Please help in this effort to supply our students with gloves and hats as they will ensure our students will make it to school and stay healthy so they don't miss out on learning.
