My Project

This project will impact 708 students in PreK-Fifth Grade at my Title I school. My goal is to expose students to hands-on experiences with life cycles, food sustainability, and agriculture. In addition, students will learn responsibility and empathy for living things. My students are special due to their inquisitiveness in solving problems. They love to be challenged and provided opportunities to be responsible for living things. We currently have 2 classroom pets that the students monitor and care for daily. They use their math skills to create a growth chart for our tortoise's height and shell diameter.

Having the opportunity to observe the hatching of chicken eggs, graphing and monitoring the growth patterns of each chick, while learning about life cycles, food sustainability, and agriculture, will generate excitement in Life Science for my students.
