Hatching Knowledge: A Hands-On Chicken Life Cycle Experience
Help me give my students hands-on learning through our TK farm unit by hatching chicks with a Brinsea incubator and Rent-A-Coop, teaching the chicken life cycle from egg to growing chick.

My Project
Our TK farm unit is designed to spark curiosity and engage young learners through meaningful, hands-on learning experiences. At this age, students are naturally curious, and exploring the life cycle of a chick gives them the opportunity to make real-world connections. With the Brinsea incubator, students will observe the incubation process and learn about animal development. Once hatched, the Rent-A-Coop brooder will provide a safe space for the chicks, allowing students to care for them while developing empathy and responsibility.
The Chick Life Cycle Exploration Set will provide visual representations of each stage of development, helping students better understand sequencing, vocabulary, and scientific observation.
This project supports early science standards by introducing students to lifecycles, living vs. non-living concepts, and animal needs. It also strengthens language development as students learn to express their observations, ask questions, and describe what they see and do. These hands-on resources will bring science to life in a way that is engaging, age-appropriate, and unforgettable.
