My Students
My jumping jellybeans are full of life. My kindergartners come to class every day ready and eager to learn. My elementary school is located in southern Houston, Texas. We serve students from low income, multicultural, and bilingual homes. Our community is tight-knit, and we are extremely fortunate to be strongly supported by our families.
My jellybeans are creative, clever and very spontaneous.
They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers and questioners. They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even if they don't know it yet. They are budding ambassadors, world travelers, scientists, entrepreneurs or teachers. They are our future and I want to give them a great start to their long successful careers.
My Project
A few months ago our community and school were damaged by Hurricane Harvey, we worked hard to clean up and prepare our classroom for the students to only come back after Christmas Break and find a new flood in our classroom from a pipe that burst over the break.
My Jellybeans defeat every obstacle that comes their way.
I teach a resilient group of Kindergartners and I want to continue to provide the best for them. We will use the iPads for reading and math stations to incorporate technology into our daily activities. With the iPads my students will not only be able to work on Dreambox and Waterford, they will also be able to work on new reading and math apps through the App Store. We need the protective cases and headphones to protect our iPads and minimize the noise in the classroom during stations.
