Harnessing Kids' Boundless Energy to Save Lives Near and Far

My students need 14 UNICEF Kid Power bands to track daily activity and save a life while moving.

My Students

I am a National Board certified teacher in Literacy. I work at a Title I elementary school. Many of my students come from military families due to our location near several bases. Our school is diverse with learning styles, cultures, and interests. My students are hardworking, creative, and critical thinkers. My students are future artists, inventors, authors, and natural leaders. Success is at their fingertips and I know that with the right learning environment, I will nurture each and every one of them.

My Project

My students enjoy playing kickball and running around on the playground while at school. But, unfortunately many of them have a sedimentary lifestyle when they get home. With the UNICEF Kid Power bands, my students will be inspired to stay active with the awareness of their daily movement. The Kid Power bands will motivate my students to increase their activity for an amazing cause.

With Kid Power bands students' movements convert into points that become life saving therapeutic food packets for malnourished children around the world.

My students will not only learn that they can make a positive impact on the life of children around the world. They will learn that there is power in their actions.
