it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Learning on an empty stomach is no way to spend a school day.
Students should always have the ability to eat healthy brain food to help them stay focused and on task.
There is a good bit of time between when students have breakfast and lunch due to our schedule and students often can't wait to have a snack in between to stop their gurgling stomachs. However, not every student remembers a snack or can afford to bring one daily. Having options on had to give students when needed makes a world of difference to their learning day. Not only that but having a safe way to store those food items from prying mice is also imperative. The storage bins can help store the non-perishable items. However, left over fruit, yogurt or milk from breakfast needs to be stored in a safe and sanitary way to keep them as healthy options for students. Having a mini fridge to store those items in will allow for further options for students ensuring healthy snacks are always available for them to choose from. Trying to focus on school when your hungry is hard. All students should be able to not worry about a hungry belly but rather know they have easy access to the brain food they need daily.
