This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our third grade students come to school ready and eager to learn. They take in so much information, and we want to make sure that we teach them as much as possible to continue their success throughout their journey in and outside of the classroom. Our classroom economy system allows students to learn valuable life skills. This system will improve students' understanding of the basic principles of supply and demand and the workings of the economy. Students will be responsible for renting their desks, earning a paycheck for completing their classroom jobs, and also paying citations for breaking classroom rules. Students will also be able to purchase incentives and prizes, like stress balls, pencils, erasers, and squishy toys by saving and budgeting their money, and by receiving bonuses for hard work and good citizenship.
