Hard-Work on the Hard Court

My Project

These young men are eager to learn the skills that it takes to become great on the basketball court. This is the first year since the pandemic that our students are engaging in team sports. They have become stewards of the game and are putting in the work to become better as a team. These middle schoolers are excited about playing and trying hard to be great.

Hard work on the court influences hard work in the classroom.

Playing basketball brings joy for these young men. This joy is nurtured by their coaches during practice. The training goggles and weighted training balls would really help with dribbling skills. Having nice basketballs to practice with and a rack to store them would help too. These materials can make learning skills a lot more enjoyable. The joy of learning basketball skills is greatly impacting their focus in the classroom and improving academic engagement and progress.
