When you walk into our classroom you will no doubt be amazed at the creative thinking taking place, the engineers at work, and the children who constantly reinvent themselves into superheroes, community helpers or everyday amazing people they may encounter (or hope to encounter!).
My Pre-K Counts classroom is made up of a unique blend of children from different ethnic and economic backgrounds.
We want everyone to feel valued and represented in our classroom community regardless of what kind of background they come from. We are a family in Room 3!
My Project
When you enter my classroom, you will see constant activity happening all around you. The children are hard at work using the resources we have available.
Over time, furniture and classroom equipment get extra loved and needs to be replaced.
We're updating our dramatic play space and our current couch has been enjoyed for many years... been repaired many times, and is in need of a replacement. By adding a new couch to this space, the children will have a comfortable place to sit as they bring their imagination to life in fun and exciting ways.
When we add new toys to our classroom, we want them to have a home to store them in. The clear storage bins offer a sturdy storage solution while offering opportunities for the children to show independence when making choices in play and at clean up time.
Our math shelf has been moved around our classroom so many times that the screws that hold it together are slowly giving out and it isn't sturdy anymore. My students love to visit this space where they can build, sort, investigate, count and more.... a new, sturdy shelf to hold their materials will benefit their learning as they converse, interact, manipulate and more with their peers.
