My Project

I am a secondary English/Reading teacher at an alternative public school for teenage mothers, COPE Center North, in Miami’s inner city. I’m also the Mental Wellness Club Advisor and Mindful Champion.

I tell my students that when your heart is filled with love and compassion, you are very powerful.

My mission is to empower peaceful, gentle, and loving lionesses to never underestimate themselves; instead, “ROARRRRR” with pride, as they develop a strong body and healthy mind-- cultivating inner strength, fostering resilience, and transforming into a wiser more embodied version of self with infinite possibilities.

Your contributions will support facilitating pre/post-natal yoga classes and heart centered mindfulness practices for our young moms to “grow and glow” to their fullest potential.

Through the Breathe 4 Change training, I will learn new ways to integrate physical and mental well-being strategies safely and effectively and share this invaluable knowledge and experience with my students.
