My Project

Although 50% of my students come from low-income areas, 0% of my students have low-income mentalities. I can see it in their faces: a desire to belong and contribute to something greater than themselves, a truth and concern for each moment. My students are worthy of everything, especially a high school experience that draws out and develops their genuine love of the arts.

Being involved in the process of creating art has the potential to do more to prepare a student for life than anything academic ever could.

Every day, my students foster creativity and gain confidence, both on and off the stage. They believe in the power of collaboration and learn how to persevere, problem-solve, and hold themselves accountable. My students believe that when they create something collaboratively, the needs of the many genuinely outweigh the needs of the few or the one.

Spring musicals are complex undertakings, and our program is 100% self-funded. These props and costumes will be used directly by our students on stage in the show! March is #TheatreInOurSchools month, and we are grateful for your support!
