My Students
As kindergarten students, my class is filled with laughter and excitement every day. It is such a joy to watch my students develop and learn so much in their first year of school. We move and play and discover new things every day. Center time is the favorite part of the day for most students.
This year, I had 13 students in my class.
My school is a small k-5 school with one classroom per grade. Our school is considered to have a low-income population. The students are hard-working and happy. It is a welcoming and comfortable place with a great team of educators.
My Project
My students love to get on their iPads and "play" Happy Numbers. Little do my students know but they are learning and growing as they work on the website. It works on each student's individual ability and reinforces new skills. Students get to travel to different planets as they master new skills.
On the educator side, I get to monitor how long my students work on the site and to look at their progress.
If a child is stuck on a skill, I can step in and reteach or even teach a new skill to help the child succeed.
Happy Numbers has made us a happy kindergarten class with smart mathematical students!
