My students need a class set of ear buds to use in technology centers in both math and reading. They also need math games to reinforce small group teaching in our math center.

My Students
The United States has been called, "The Land of Opportunity." Most citizens can describe the traditional "American Dream" as the right and ability to carve out any life you choose. Unfortunately, for children, not all opportunities are equal.
The good teacher makes the poor students good and the good student superior.
My students come from a wide range of ethnic backgrounds and vastly varied socioeconomic lifestyles. Each child comes with their own life experiences, strengths, and weaknesses. They all want to feel safe and successful, and every one of them brings the need and desire to be loved.
My students are curious, humorous, and zealous. They enjoy learning with their eyes, ears, and hands. As a classroom family, students work together, learn from each other, and strive for personal goals of personal best.
My Project
The new ear buds are essential in our technology centers in both math and reading. Students are engaging in many different educational websites during guided reading and guided math. We are also in need of some manipulative games to use in our math game center, enhancing and reinforcing small group teaching.
Children must be taught how to think, not what to think.
These supplies will be used on a daily basis to do just that. By using a small group guided rotation method of teaching in both reading and math, I am seeing major gains in comprehension and number sense. These supplies will allow us to make our center rotations more engaging and fun.
