My Project

I have a diverse group of second graders, who love to learn about each other's culture. Lunar New Year is around the corner. However, I'm lacking resources to teach about this celebration.

Having the books and red envelopes will strike a great interest in my students!

The red envelopes are usually stuffed with money. I will stuff them with the golden coins and candy, starting them with a sweet year. Decorating the classroom with lanterns and red artwork will create a festive environment. My students will be in awe while learning about the Lunar New Year.
