My students need 3 Wobble chairs, 5 Wobble cushions, 3 lap trays, and 5 stack stools to accommodate different learning strategies to meet the needs of each child within our Co-Teach classroom.
This coming school year, I will have 18 kindergarten friends excited to be in their first school setting!
I met most of my incoming KINDERS at screening and they are excitable, inquisitive, enthusiastic, creative, and energetic.
They are 4-6 years old and ready to take on the world! I cannot wait to get to know them better!
My room is a co-taught classroom, with students at varying levels of abilities. I want this to be a positive, nurturing, comfortable, and exciting experience for them as they enter school.
My Project
Kindergartners are known to be full of movement, excitement, and energy! Flexible seating will allow for each child to pick a spot that works best for them and complete tasks given to them. For the majority of the class, this will be their first structured school setting. These seats will help make each child comfortable and encourage an interest and love for school.
In Kindergarten, it is hard to sit at a table and in a chair for any amount of time.
These Wobble chairs, stools, wobble cushions, and lap desks will help create a multitude of places for each learner to begin and build their educational foundation.
Each child will be given the opportunity to pick a spot and a seat in which to complete their work. The best part about having each of these options is that every day the child can pick a new spot or seat. They can maneuver as they work and get out energy while still staying focused and on task. The kids will love the freedom and movement, while staying interested and engaged in academics!
