This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My school serves students Pre-K through 5th grade. As a school nurse, I have the privilege of serving all students during the school year. More than 97% of the students at my school are living in poverty. I am compelled to teach these students how to live healthy, active lifestyles. To achieve this, I am in need of some basic materials. The projects I post will allow me to obtain the materials and supplies my students need to have their basic needs met.
My Project
My students are my babies and I want them to have what they need to be happy and healthy. To achieve this goal, I am requesting hygiene products for my students so they can stay focused on learning when they are at school. I am requesting deodorant for my students so they can feel fresh and not worry about embarrassing body odor. I am also requesting Always pads to keep in my office for students when they need it. Additionally, I would like to have a supply of lice shampoo kits for my students.
Because many of my students are living in poverty, they often cannot afford to purchase these kits to eliminate the lice for good, so it continues to spread throughout their family and the school.
