This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students live by the C.A.R.E.S. core values - Caring, Appreciative, Responsible, Empathetic, and Steadfast. All of our students show grit and determination even in the face of uncertainty. Every day our children show up, and we do our best to guide them in their learning process.

As a teacher and a parent, we want nothing more than to know that when our children go to school each day they are entering classrooms that have all of the necessities they need to stay healthy.

As we move into the second half of the school year, we need replenishment on basic supplies to keep our learning environments safe.

My Project

We have been so careful and consistent in our classroom when it comes to cleaning our personal spaces and community spaces. So much emphasis on sanitization allowed us to really feel comfortable in our classroom so that we could really learn. As we got closer to the end of December Covid became no match for us despite all of our protocols for cleanliness. Our supplies have dwindled and are in desperate need of replenishment, so that when we are able to be together again we can continue, as a team, to keep our students healthy and in school learning. Schools are not as safe as they could be in promoting the health and safety of teachers and students. But with your help and our determination our classroom can be.
