This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My project aims to supply exercise equipment for daily recess to address the crucial need for children to be active, happy, and healthy. By providing a variety of engaging tools, recess can be transformed into a dynamic period of physical activity rather than just unstructured downtime.

Equipment like soccer balls encourages team sports and cardiovascular exercise, fostering cooperation and stamina.

Chinese jump ropes offer a fantastic way to develop coordination, rhythm, and agility, often in a more inclusive group setting.

The inclusion of soft baseball bats allows for safe, active play that hones hand-eye coordination and introduces fundamental baseball skills without the intensity or potential hazards of hard bats. Lastly, pickleball paddles open up opportunities for a rapidly growing sport that is accessible to many skill levels, promoting quick reflexes, strategic thinking, and continuous movement.

Together, these items provide a well-rounded approach to recess, ensuring that children have the means to enjoy diverse physical activities that contribute to their overall well-being and make daily recess a truly enriching experience.
