My Project
The students in my building benefit greatly from having hands-on resources to enhance their learning throughout the school day. I utilize manipulatives with the young learners at my school to help foster their love of learning and encourage them to continue to pursue their learning goals. We would love to add these materials to our classroom to provide a wider selection of early learning activities.
My students would love to have more manipulatives that will help them with their developing phonics, reading, and math skills in the classroom.
We will use the magnetic manipulatives like the letters and sorting activities to provide alternative small group activities for some learners. We will use the learning games like Kibbit, and Zingo to play during small groups. These games help us build vocabulary skills, practice turn-taking, as well as developing our math and reading. Many of my students have special needs and they will use the learning centers to help them develop vocabulary and language skills.
