Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are incredible learners with unique strengths and needs. They work hard every day to overcome challenges—especially when it comes to handwriting. For many of them, difficulties with fine motor skills, hand strength, and motor planning make writing tasks frustrating and discouraging.
With your support, I can provide engaging, evidence-based tools designed to make handwriting accessible and fun.
I'm requesting a wobble chair and materials like therapy putty to build hand strength, fine motor games to improve coordination and dexterity, and pop fidget toys to support finger isolation and focus. These tools are not only fun but help my students develop the physical skills needed for writing success.
These resources will support my students as they build the muscle memory and confidence needed to write their names, complete assignments, and express themselves through written language. Handwriting is more than just putting pencil to paper—it's a foundation for independence and communication.
