This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The materials and supplies we have added to our cart are to help provide our classroom pets with the important necessities to thrive in our care. We currently have two guinea pigs Cookie and Marshmallow and we have added food which we currently pay out of pocket and some cozy beds so they can stay warm since our school gets pretty chilly.

The materials will also help our Beta fish Jeffrey and our freshwater fancy guppies with a fresh aquarium setup for them.

My students have chosen a Jurassic Park theme for both and will be a part of cleaning our fish tanks as they learn the importance of maintaining the water levels and accessories clean for our fish to live happily and healthily. As for our new addition our leopard gecko Leo, we have been doing a lot of research on him since we have not had a reptile before and we found there are many items we are missing in his enclosure that were not gifted to us when we adopted him.

Donating to our project will ensure that my students are learning proper care of our classroom pets and that we will be providing the healthiest and most successful environments in order to have happy and healthy pets, and hopefully to see them thrive for years to come.
