Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

On a typical day my students range from very motivated learners to students who basically come to school because it is a requirement. My goal is to empower every learner. Sometimes the biggest challenge is inspiring them. I get happy when I see students develop a love for learning!

I teach students who come from underprivileged homes, and a majority of students who are also are English learners.

Many of their parents do not know how to speak English which makes it difficult for the students to get the necessary support from home to thrive when needed. Despite their home environments, my students are very happy and have a very positive outlook on learning.

My Project

My students need to be able to learn in an organized and kid friendly classroom. Book bags, nameplates, and a calendar (just to name a few) will help bring that alive! The requested materials will be used to create learning environments that are conducive to excelling academically. Statistics show that when classrooms are organized and neat, the students from that classroom have an easier time learning. My classroom will be used to teach all subjects so it is essential that it is well- kept and organized.

Donations to this project will improve my classroom by making it more hands on and kid friendly.

The requested materials will make learning easier and more "real world" which will allow the students to remember lessons permanently.
