Wow! It is only the beginning of the year, and I am already IN LOVE with my class. We are nestled in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, in a small little school and community in Eastern Kentucky. Although most of my students are socioeconomically challenged, they have huge hearts and are eager to learn.
They greet me every morning with hugs and little smiles.
I want to give them the best possible learning resources to make learning engaging and fun! I want school to be a safe and fun place for each of my students. School is somewhere they can forget about all the problems they may encounter at home after they leave for the day.
With little technology available in my classroom, I chose a classroom iPad for my students. The iPad will help teach my students 21st century skills, that a lot of them do not get access to at home. Our iPad will making learning interesting and fun! I can download numerous apps for specific skills to meet my kindergarten class learning needs. They can also use it to take pictures for class projects, use during reading and math stations, and record storytelling stories.
The Osmo Genius kit is an award-winning game system, which is what my kids deserve because they are absolutely amazing!
This kit is beyond wonderful. It teaches them so many different skills and techniques, all while they use their imaginations, learning, and having FUN! It is hands-on learning, which is the best way for kindergartners to learn. The possibilities are endless with the Osmo system!
