This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am writing to you as a kindergarten teacher and a huge fan of Dr. Seuss. As you may know, March 2nd is Dr. Seuss’s birthday and the National Education Association’s Read Across America Day, a celebration of reading and literacy.

This year, I want to make this day extra special for my students by throwing a Dr Seuss-themed party and transforming our classroom into a Seussical wonderland.

To make this happen, I need your help. I am looking for donations of any amount to purchase some materials and supplies that will enhance our reading experience and spark our imagination. Some of the items I need are:

Dr. Seuss books and posters

Cat in the Hat hats and costumes

Red and white striped paper lanterns and tinsel curtains

Dr. Seuss bingo cards and board games

And more!

Any donation, big or small, will be greatly appreciated and put to good use. Your generosity will not only make our party fun and memorable, but also inspire my students to love reading and learning.
