Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 5th graders work hard in the classroom and I want to bring to life that hard work pays off. I use a reward system to stimulate their learning and to motivate good behavior. Even small prizes help to increase student motivation and improve test results. I give tickets to my students for good behavior, effort, and test scores; and they are able to exchange them for little prizes; snacks, small toys, and fun treats.

Rewards keep my students motivated, joyful, and confident.

They appreciate these rewards, as most of my students come from low-income households.
