My Students

I teach in a kindergarten classroom with students who have a wide range of abilities and needs. I strive my best to accommodate students with creating an environment that supports all students. While being in a kindergarten classroom, students come from all backgrounds. This requires me to meet each student where they are at individually. At my school, we love to take special account of each student to ensure that they feel loved and appreciated every day they walk through the door.

For most students school is more than a place to learn, it is often a safe place where they can express themselves without judgment.

My classroom is a welcoming space for students to simply embrace themselves and learn from their differences.

My Project

Kindergarten sets off the foundation skills for students writing. Some of them begin kindergarten not being able to write their names, but end the year as confident writers. I prefer to teach writing skills with a play-based technique to allow the "fun" to still be in place with learning. My students love to create and build whenever they can.

My goal is to instill strong foundation skills in letter formation and writing to promote future writers.

I know that this can happen with the help from you donating to this project. It is so important to start out with a strong foundation in writing, so students can grow and build upon these concepts.
