As teachers in a public school, we are forced to make what we have work for our students. Our classroom is special because we are a inclusion kindergarten classroom. An inclusive classroom is a general education classroom in which students with and without disabilities learn together!
Our classroom is special because each student is unique.
This allows students from different backgrounds to come together to collaborate and share their bright ideas! Every day my students come into my classroom eager to learn and share their ideas with their friends. We follow our school’s mission, preparing our students for today and tomorrow by providing strong academic and emotional foundations.
My Project
My project will give students the confidence they need to improve their handwriting skills. This includes writing their name to writing numbers 1-100 and beyond! During the morning, when students have free choice, many of them choose to improve their writing skills.
Reusable writing sleeves will give my students ample opportunity to practice their handwriting.
They are excited to have their own "boards" to practice on, the clear sleeves allow me to put in guides for them to follow. The hanging dry erase board will give them ideas of what they can improve on. All of these helps students improve their confidence in the classroom, which leads to great success!
