Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our school is located in the heart of Red River County in a district where we strive for excellence and challenge our students each day. This year, I am focusing on adding tools to our literacy and technology workstations. Having these workstation materials in the classroom this year will not only be a blessing to them but a blessing to other Kinders that will come along behind them. We greatly appreciate your thoughtfulness and kindness in donating to our class.

My Project

Technology, Handwriting, and Literacy. The use of the Apple pens will help the student with handwriting by using their iPads as guides for the correct formation of the letters and numbers. Some of the students need a little more help than others mastering the correct strokes of each letter. These also can help with fine motor development as their hand muscles are still developing. The literacy word center will help the students focus on building words that will strengthen their ability to decode and encode CVC words in the decodable readers.
