This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My first grade students love to write their opinions, what they have learned in Science and amazingly creative stories! Now that they have the basics down, I want to take their writing to the next level as they get ready for second grade.
Help them develop their writing with these tools to make writing hands on!
These pocket charts and color coded sentence strips will be used to take simple sentences and make them more complex! They will add a "hook" in green to get the reader's attention. They will add transition words in yellow to help their ideas flow and they will wrap it all up in pink with a solid conclusion!
