Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Since my very first class, I have always wanted to make their kindergarten year a fun learning experience. Throughout the years, all of my students have left an impact in my life. Whether it is their outstanding improvement in class or their charming personalities, they have all captured my heart.
My 2018 kindergarten class strives to participate in class and are eager to learn before they enter the classroom.
Although they went through a traumatic situation when Hurricane Harvey hit, they somehow manage to be loving, energetic, and smart children who help their classmates complete their assignments and activities.
When a student has mastered a concept or skill, as a class we celebrate their new achievements. My students applaud their accomplishments and congratulate each other. I want my students to have as much fun while they learn and become even more enthused as they acquire new knowledge.
My Project
My students will be using Early Math Instant Learning Centers and Spanish File Folder Game Library during math and reading workstations. These hands-on activities are a great way for my students to learn their ABCs, numbers, counting, and simple addition/subtraction. Students will get a better understanding of concepts, and they will be more independent by learning and following simple step instructions.
The mobile bin storage cart will be used to set and organize manipulatives and activities for workstations.
The Write and Wipe Board will be used during small group instruction and also during workstations. Students will practice writing letters, sight words, and even simple sentences.
