My students need manipulatives, including a set of Math Skills Folder Game Libraries, Hot Dots pens and quiz cards and more, to help reinforce the necessary literacy and mathematics skills that are taught in class.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I have the privilege of touching the lives of 20 very vibrant, hardworking, and eager-to-learn students.
My students come from backgrounds that don't always afford them the many privileges and experiences afforded to many other students in our county. Therefore, their need for engaging and lively hands-on activities are important for reinforcement of sometimes difficult skills.
My Project
I have requested materials that students will be able to use both independently and/or with a partner. Materials such as: math folder games and practice cards, reading comprehension games, and Hot Dots Vocabulary Quiz Cards and Pens. These resources will engage my students in content-related activities that are also weaknesses for them. Having these materials available in my classroom will enable me to form small-groups and work more closely with students that are struggling.
Any and all donations to the project are appreciated and will make a huge difference in the educational lives of my students and myself as well. As an educator, I'm always "on the hunt" for new and innovating ways to reach all of my students....and the materials requested in this project, I feel, will help do just that!
My students need interactive hands-on activities to work with during Word Work time.
These items, I feel, will be very engaging for the students. Also, the students will get the practice/reinforcement with the various skills--which they need.
