This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach in an area of high poverty, and my classroom is comprised of 20 three, four, and five-year-old children. What my students lack materials, age, and experiences; they make up for in energy, creativity, and curiosity. Most of the families of our students are not able to afford many educational materials at home, but they want their children to have access to these items through school, so I am asking for your support to provide these items to the children in my room.
Preschoolers are a great bunch of enthusiastic young learners!
My kids start each day eager to explore and learn. They get so excited when they get to investigate new materials. While the current hybrid learning environment has made this more of a challenge it is not impossible. One of the greatest results of the creation process is the communication that goes on between classmates as they discuss new ideas and new learning methods. In our classroom, we strive to work together to create a positive classroom where every student's voice matters. I want to give my students the opportunity to grow socially, emotionally, and academically.
My Project
My classroom consists of both virtual on-line learners and students in the classroom. My kids are in need of new learning tools that can be utilized with both sets of learners.
I need your support in providing both on-line and in school learning experiences for my children!
My students in school require manipulatives and centers that can be used individually and sanitized after each child uses the objects. My on-line learners need these same centers to be engaging and interactive. The current COVID situation has made teaching and learning more challenging, but a challenge that can be reached.
I would love to be able to provide my kids with the best learning experiences wherever they may be sitting. I would like them to continue to blossom wherever they are planted, whether that is in the safety of their own homes or in the classroom. Thank you for your support.
