My Students
I teach technology to first grade through third grade in a Title I school in Brooklyn, New York. Many of my students are from families that fall below the poverty line. I have students of varying levels, special needs, and languages all in the technology lab at the same time.
Many of my students do not have access to technology at home so when they come to the technology lab they are excited and eager to learn and get to work.
My students are bright, cheerful, loving, excited, and eager to learn.
My Project
My kiddos love coming to the technology lab learning and exploring using our robots, Legos, and other materials. With all of the new health and safety procedures, we are unable to use our robots, Legos, and any shared items.
I still want to give my kiddos the same exciting experiences as before these materials will give my kiddos the opportunity to explore and create safely.
I am asking for paper plates, cups, straws, pipe cleaners to give my kiddos the opportunity to think, create, design, build and problem solve. We are all in uncharted waters and I want my kiddos to have the same love and excitement for school as before.
