My Students
I work at the best dual language elementary school. Our students have school pride that is contagious. We are a family like no other. Our school is located in an inner-city neighborhood surrounded by low-income housing.
We are a school that is academically and culturally diverse.
We pride ourselves in helping students from all ends of the academic spectrum. It is our goal to let every student know and feel they are wanted, welcomed, and needed at our school every day.
My Project
I am inspired by STEM concepts to design, build, and create with my students. All our ideas start with a thought. For my younger students, the magnets will help with the next step of designing and creating what we have pictured in our minds using our fine motor skills. Once we have a design, then it's time to build and mobilize the designs. The straws are the next step to building and designing in STEM for my older kids. Having more hands on STEM activities gives all my students the ability to show their own creativity, think, plan, and design while having fun learning STEM.
