My Project
Learning with my students is the best part of being a teacher! They are the reason I eagerly anticipate each new day. My students are excited to learn and share their new-found knowledge with those around them. They love the learning process and understand that the process is just as important as the product.
My students understand that, regardless of their circumstances, their choices and actions empower them to reach their goals.
I work at a Title I school. Many of the students in my classroom come from underprivileged homes. Despite this obstacle, they continually work hard to learn and overcome the challenges that they face. They are leaders and examples for those around them.
The supplies requested in this Donors Choose project will be used to help students learn our science standards through hands-on interaction and exploration. The balloons will help students learn about the noncontact force- static electricity. The bouncy balls and marble run set will help students understand force and motion concepts. The Legos will help students understand engineering. The rocks will be used when students are learning about rocks and minerals. The magnet kit will be used to teach students about the noncontact force of magnetism. Finally, the Teacher Pay Teacher gift card will be used to purchase additional resources and enhanced learning activities for STEM.
