Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am transferring from music to the 2nd grade classroom and this will be my first year in the general education classroom setting. I'm excited to provide my students with opportunities to engage in meaningful learning activities. One of the things I love most about 2nd graders is their curiosity and eagerness to explore the world through hands-on discovery. They light up when they're given the chance to build, solve problems, and think creatively. I would like to use my $100 Gift Card for Educational Resources on TPT to purchase The STEM Bins® MEGA Bundle and Seasonal Challenges for my students.
My goal is for students to see themselves as innovators, leaders, and problem-solvers.
The STEM Bins will be used first thing in the morning everyday throughout the school year to engage students and prepare them for a day of learning. The STEM Challenges will be used weekly during our designated STEM time to promote collaboration, team work, and critical thinking. Having these STEM resources in my classroom will provide excellent opportunities to encourage student choice, help build my students' confidence, and develop essential skills.
