Because of your support, my students were able to experience 12 incredible days of hands-on science learning.\r\n\r\nThroughout the activities, students collaborated with their classmates, problem-solved, and stayed fully engaged every step of the way. Their excitement and enthusiasm were contagious, and it was amazing to hear positive feedback from so many parents as they shared stories about the experiments and learning happening in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThe impact of this science kit reached far beyond our classroom. The enthusiasm it sparked caught the attention of our PTO, which then purchased additional kits for other teachers as well as expansion kits to provide even more hands-on science opportunities for students throughout our school.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping bring curiosity, creativity, experimentation, and joyful learning into our classroom. Your generosity has inspired a love of science in many students, and we are truly grateful for the opportunities you have provided.\r\n\r\nThis version highlights both the student impact and the ripple effect your donation had throughout the school.","fullyFundedDate":1776460466303,"projectUrl":"project/inspiring-minds-through-stem/9972947/","projectTitle":"Inspiring Minds Through STEM","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rosenbaum","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9564144_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1717813328728","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9564144"},{"teacherId":10365010,"projectId":10225010,"letterContent":"Because of your kindness, our students received wonderful new books and art supplies that have already made a meaningful impact on their learning and engagement. Thank you so much for your generosity and support of our classroom.\r\n\r\nThe books have been especially exciting for our students. The Daisy Dreamer series, Wings of Fire series, and The Storm Book have provided a variety of reading opportunities that appeal to different interests and reading levels. One student in particular has benefited tremendously from the Daisy Dreamer series. This student had been struggling to find books that felt accessible and enjoyable, but they quickly connected with the series and now eagerly look forward to reading. Watching their confidence and enthusiasm grow has been incredibly rewarding.\r\n\r\nThe art supplies have also been a wonderful addition to our classroom. The bingo daubers and texture scrapers have allowed students to explore art in a hands-on, tactile way. These tools encourage creativity, experimentation, and sensory engagement. Students are excited whenever they have the opportunity to use them and frequently ask when our next art project will be. The chance to create artwork with different textures and techniques has made art lessons even more meaningful and enjoyable.\r\n\r\nYour support has provided our students with opportunities to grow as readers, artists, and learners. Students are fascinated by the interactive elements and love exploring the detailed illustrations, foldouts, and fascinating facts. These books have sparked curiosity and encouraged students to dive into topics they may never have explored otherwise.\r\n\r\nThe Mr. Lemoncello series has also quickly become a student favorite. The mystery, adventure, and puzzles keep students engaged and eager to continue reading. Your support has truly made a difference in our daily learning.\r\n\r\nThese new books are helping students build essential reading skills like identifying themes, making inferences, analyzing characters, and supporting their thinking with evidence from the text. We are also practicing close reading, discussing vocabulary in context, and learning how to explain our ideas clearly—both in writing and during class discussions. These are big skills for 4th graders, and having high-quality, interesting books makes all the difference.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is an active, joyful experience. Students read independently, with partners, and in small groups. We talk about books often—students share favorite parts, ask questions, and make connections to their own lives and to other texts we've read. Because these books are accessible and exciting, students are more willing to take risks, try harder texts, and stick with reading even when it feels challenging.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who were previously reluctant readers are especially excited about the new books. I've seen students choose to read during free time, eagerly recommend books to classmates, and proudly talk about finishing a book from cover to cover. One student told me, \"I have been waiting for this book! I need it right now!\" Moments like that are incredibly powerful.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and for helping create a classroom where reading is something students look forward to every day. The tactile, hands-on resources allow students to explore engineering concepts by physically building, testing, and redesigning their ideas. The ability to manipulate real materials, rather than just seeing concepts on a screen, helps them develop problem-solving skills, persistence, and collaborative strategies that are hard to replicate in any other format. The technology behind these STEM kits gives students opportunities to experiment with structures, stability, balance, and design in a way that feels like true engineering work.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for my students has been the creative freedom they have while using the seasonal STEM challenges. Each challenge feels like a \"mission,\" and they love diving into the task, brainstorming with their teammates, and putting their ideas into action. For many of them, this was the first time they experienced engineering as accessible and fun, not something reserved only for older students. I've also seen certain students, especially those who typically struggle with confidence or focus, blossom during these activities. One student in particular, who often hesitates during academic tasks, has taken a true leadership role during STEM challenges, guiding his group and encouraging peers.
