it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
STEAM activities and board games to enrich their indoor recess and slow-start mornings. These resources will offer meaningful, screen-free opportunities for collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. My students are enthusiastic learners who thrive on interaction and hands-on experiences. They exhibit remarkable energy and curiosity, especially when working together to solve problems and explore new concepts. Providing them with engaging, collaborative activities will further enhance their learning and social development. Currently, during indoor recess or the beginning of the day, options are limited, often defaulting to individual activities on Chromebooks. This not only increases screen time but also reduces opportunities for peer interaction. By introducing STEAM kits and board games, I aim to create an environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and hands-on learning.
