My Students
I teach at a Title I school where 95 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of my students face challenges in life due to poverty, unstable housing, and language barriers. Although life is not easy, my students are extremely positive, grateful, and happy children. Our school faces the same issues many other schools face in low socioeconomic areas. We strive to meet the basic needs of our students so they are successful in school. My students are amazing people. Every day with them is a new adventure, as they continually challenge and inspire me to become a better teacher; I learn as much from them as they learn from me! These inspirational students deserve to have the best education that I can possibly give them!

My Project
I am asking for owl pellets to help engage the 3rd grade students at my school in an investigation of the food web of an owl. The students will dissect an owl pellet that contains the undigested remains of prey eaten by the owl. Students will then identify the animal skulls found in the pellet and paste them in the appropriate place on the identification sheet. Lastly, they will create a food web with the owl. My students are amazed by animals and I would like to I would like to bring a hands-on experience to them. This experiment will give them more knowledge about the world around them. It is important to educate our youth about the Earth and the other creatures that live around us. This will make our students more conscience of our environment which will cause them to better care for our Earth.
