My students need science materials including landform models, an anemometer, and an engineering project book, so their curious minds can explore various topics. I have chosen the following material based on the students' interests.
Do you remember science being fun and hands-on? My Montessori students have hunger for hands-on STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) explorations. My goal is to develop the love of STEM and give my students meaningful approach to learn these concepts.
We are a unique program at our Elementary School.
Our school offers a FREE Montessori Education. Our class is a blended home school, which means the students attend three school days and are home-schooled for two. We will also share our materials with other classes since we are starting a collaborative science program . My Montessori students are not only innovative and critical thinkers, but are able to make meaningful connections between school, community, work and global issues. They ask questions that are amazing and hands-on materials that promote explorations to help answer those brilliant questions are essential.
My Project
The science materials that I am requesting will help the students find answers to their brilliant questions. They will explore and predict weather with the weather kit, test the quality of waterways and explore chemical changes with the water analysis kit, use the landforms kits to enhance their biome lessons, and foster their development as little engineers with the engineering materials. What better way to promote STEM than hands-on science materials?
STEM skills are increasingly necessary to engage in a knowledge-based economy.
There is solid evidence to suggest that the fastest-growing and highest-wage jobs in future years will be in STEM fields and all employees will need to utilize STEM skills for problem solving in a wide range of industries. Please help my students feed their hunger. Let's give our future generations a chance to be successful in their ever changing future.
