Help me give my students hands on learning opportunities with LEGOS simple machine kits.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach 26 inquisitive 4th grade learners. My students love learning and thrive with hands-on, real-life learning. My goals is to capitalize on my students natural curiosity and to create a classroom environment that encourages students to be self-directed learners. Of my 26 students, I have 15 students who are qualified for our schools gifted program.
My students crave knowledge and authentic learning experiences.
They become bored easily with mundane tasks. I work hard to make school a place where my students want to come each day, a place where they feel challenged to do their best and where they continue to grow and achieve each day.
My Project
These materials will help my students conceptualize our science standards of simple machines by allowing the students to use LEGOS to build working models. Instead of only reading about the content and using technology to produce virtual models, these LEGOS kits will allow the students to participate in STEM tasks. I plan to allow the students to use these materials to participate in several design challenges.
The materials will allow the students to participate in design thinking tasks; making an initial product and then improving its functionality with repeated tests and trials.
With these materials, the students will be able to apply the knowledge they are learning in the classroom.
