My Project
First graders are always eager to explore how the world around them works, especially through hands-on science experiments. In our upcoming units on Weather, Forces, and Materials, students will investigate weather patterns, explore forces like wind and gravity, and experiment with various materials to understand how they behave in different conditions. These units will ignite curiosity and help students develop essential scientific skills such as observation, prediction, and problem-solving.
The most important part of this project is providing the materials necessary for these experiments: rain gauges, thermometers, anemometers, foam balls, pipe cleaners, popsicle sticks, and grow lights.
With these tools, students will have the chance to track weather, build structures, study how forces act on objects, and observe how environmental factors like light affect plant growth. These hands-on experiences will make science come to life for our students and provide them with the tools they need to explore and understand the world around them in a fun, engaging way.
