Hands-on Science Opportunities!

My students need HANDS-ON learning opportunities! Currently we have limited storage and supplies. It is hoped to start with the cart and begin building our science materials. With the cart, our entire school can use it!

My Students

My students are authors, scientists, avid readers, and math gurus. They are eager to learn and love creating and innovating! Our school is located in a rural setting. We have a close knit school community with elementary, middle and high schools all on the same campus which give us some great mentoring opportunities.

We also have a wonderful outdoor learning environment with mountains and historical sites in our backyard.

Students and community members are in the process of adding a school garden in order to further extend our learning beyond our classroom walls.

My Project

We currently are limited in both our science storage areas and supplies. It is hoped that with your support, we can begin to purchase items that will allow our entire Pre-K to 5th grade students hands-on opportunities for learning. We have $5000 to get there but bit by bit we will get there. Learners need to engage in their senses, wonder, hypothesize, observe, collect and conclude with cause and effect thinking. This cart will be rolled around for our whole school to use.
