Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our Biology and Marine Science resources classes, we like to interact with the content in as many ways as possible. That includes hands on learning with slides and posters, as well as ways to promote auditory learning with a better speaker (our classrooms currently do not have any, which poses a barrier to my students that are hard of hearing). Materials like folders and pencils allow for there to be fewer barriers for the students to succeed. I hope to make materials and content as easy to access as possible, so my students need not worry about those factors, and instead focus on learning about how the world works as scientists!
