My students are creative and ask lots of questions. They have a desire to learn new things and challenge themselves. I teach both Kindergarten and First Grade. These primary grades need lots of hands on activities.
My students are good at problem solving and not giving up, they are always looking for new ways to challenge themselves.
They amaze me by how quickly they pick up new concepts and implement them. This year we are using the Blended Learning model in our classroom. They are ready for any new challenge put in front of them. They are determined and are not easily discouraged. As they persevere, they are learning life skills everyday.
My Project
My kindergarten students are becoming great readers. They need lots of help and materials to practice. The key to get them excited about reading is to make it fun. These centers help them to practice reading and phonics skills without realizing it.
Children learn more effectively in small groups with hands on materials.
These centers would allow me to target and focus on different, specific, sounds for small groups of students. The splash phonics games would make it possible for other groups to work independently at the same time. This would make Blended Learning possible for language arts in my classroom.
