My Students

My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything. My students come from a variety of different backgrounds and go through many different struggles in their lives. Despite so many hardships for many of my students, they are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.

My Project

The hands-on Osmo genius kit will help my gifted students better learn reading and math at their level. The application on the Ipad or Iphone is used to have the students create words, numbers, and math problems based on what the application gives them. The application checks their work using the camera to see if they got it correct or if they need help with a specific concept. This will be a great manipulative for my gifted students who are way ahead of my other students or even for early finishers in my classroom. This will be a great way for me to make sure they are learning at their pace while I am working with my medium and lower groups of kids.
