Whether recruiting middle and high school students for the Aquaculture program, going to elementary schools and teaching the kids about fish, or allowing a tactile approach to fish anatomy in class, this fish model will help children of all ages be able to see and touch a fish’s internal anatomy. Not every child is comfortable with the real thing such as students with autism or other disabilities that makes them uncomfortable. Some students are also allergic and dissections are not always possible. Having a model like this fish can teach my children for years to come no matter their level of comfort.
